I have been involved in many, many different types of arts and crafts for my entire life. Both of my parents are talented artisans as well. Sewing, painting, stamping, it seemed like I just kept doing everything until I found glass, or perhaps I should say it found me? I was looking for something totally new and I only took the stained glass class because nothing else in the College descriptions sounded good. The rest is truly history.
I have been working with stained glass and lamp working for seven years now and with fused and slumped glass for the last five years. I have a number of classes in each medium to learn more and enhance my skills. I started to make and sell about six years ago and have done many commissions during that time as well.
Many of my pieces are influenced by my love of the medieval time period. I belong to a medieval group known as the Society for Creative Anachronisom (SCA)which is an educational not for profit organization that teaches about medieval culture by re-enacting it.
I am always excited to share my love of glass by teaching classes, in all the forms of glass that I work in. I also feel that to teach effectivly one must keep their skills current. Please see below for a list of the classes I have taken over the years.
